Step 1 - Apply for Global Entry
You must first apply for the Global Entry program through the DHS Trusted Traveler Programs website. You will be asked to pay a $120 fee for a 5 year membership. You will also have to fill out questions regarding your background.
Note: You are able to waive the $120 fee if you pay using one of these travel credit cards .
Start Your Global Entry ApplicationStep 2 - Wait for conditional approval
After your application has been submitted, you will have to wait for conditional approval. Conditional approval means that you have been pre approved for the Global Entry program, but you need to schedule an interview to finalize your application.
The conditional approval process can take anywhere from 24 hours to multiple months, depending on the volume of applications, your background, etc.
Step 3 - Schedule Your Global Entry interview
Congratulations! You've been conditionally approved for Global Entry. The next step is to schedule your interview at San Juan Enrollment Center (Carolina SJU).

Step 4 - Skip the Global Entry Interview wait time
You might notice that San Juan Enrollment Center (Carolina SJU) is showing "No appointments available for this location", or the next appointment available is months out.
So what can you do?
Global Entry interview appointments are constantly cancelled, rescheduled, and added. This means that if you can monitor the interview slots, you can find an appointment that fits your schedule.

Directions: Global Entry Interviews are currently conducted at the new CBP location on the Interior Patio called “La Placita de Aerostar” if you are flying in to PR as soon as you depart the Baggage claim area for all Airlines EXCEPT Jet Blue, a set of double doors will open leading you in to an Interior Patio, our office is located on the right hand side. If you are driving to the airport then park your vehicle at the multi-level garage and go down to the first level, once you start walking towards the airport building you will see some columns that are painted grey and that are numbered, follow column number eight and that will lead you in to the interior patio “La Placita de Aerostar” you will see the office right in front of you. Notes: DO NOT FORGET TO BRING YOUR PASSPORT BOOK TO THE ENROLLMENT CENTER. All Global Entry Appointments at this Enrollment Center are scheduled in local Puerto Rico time. Since Puerto Rico does not observe Daylight Saving Time, the time you see is the time of your appointment - no adjustments are needed.
