Step 1 - Apply for Global Entry
You must first apply for the Global Entry program through the DHS Trusted Traveler Programs website. You will be asked to pay a $120 fee for a 5 year membership. You will also have to fill out questions regarding your background.
Note: You are able to waive the $120 fee if you pay using one of these travel credit cards .
Start Your Global Entry ApplicationStep 2 - Wait for conditional approval
After your application has been submitted, you will have to wait for conditional approval. Conditional approval means that you have been pre approved for the Global Entry program, but you need to schedule an interview to finalize your application.
The conditional approval process can take anywhere from 24 hours to multiple months, depending on the volume of applications, your background, etc.
Step 3 - Schedule Your Global Entry interview
Congratulations! You've been conditionally approved for Global Entry. The next step is to schedule your interview at San Diego International Airport EC.

Step 4 - Skip the Global Entry Interview wait time

Directions: Location: San Diego Airport - Global Entry Enrollment Center 3835 North Harbor Drive San Diego International Airport Terminal 2 – Zone V Applicants should follow signs for Terminal 2 parking. Information on parking and the San Diego International Airport can be found at SAN.ORG. Once parked, please walk to the airport terminal and proceed west down the the terminal and enter into the airport at Zone V. The Global Entry office is located next to the CBP Trade office.
Notes: Please bring with you any required paperwork, DMV, court paperwork, identifications, etc. Please arrive only a few minutes before your interview as seating at this Enrollment Center is limited. Please check in at the check in counter when you arrive and provide your Trusted Traveler card, the time of your appointment, and any requested supporting documentation to the officer.
